We have many different lathes for specific tasks and capacities. The largest lathe at our disposal is the venerable "Lodge and Shipley AVS" which is an incredibly capable toolroom style lathe prized for its ability to hold tight tolerances on large components. It is capable of turning a part 20-1/2" in diameter and can have a part 13" in diameter with a capacity of 48" in length. This machine is outfitted with a taper attachment perfect for turning precision tapers up to 18" long at an angle of +-15 degrees. It can cut a large variety of imperial threads ranging from 1 to 64 threads per inch.
The second lathe at our disposal is the incredible "Monarch 10EE Toolroom Lathe" it is one of the most accurate and capable machines ever made especially for its small footprint. This machine is a high precision labratory grade machine specializing in small high precision components with unparalleled accuracy and surface finish. It has a capacity of 12" in diameter with 6" over the cross slide and 20" between centers. It can cut a huge selection of Imperial threads ranging from 3 to 184 threads per inch
